Messhof is best known for the bizarre 1v1 fencing series Niddhog, but Wheel World (previously Ghost Bike) is something else entirely.
It’s an open-world title focused on cycling. During the Annapurna Interactive Showcase, Mark Essen and Kristy Norindr, who make up Messhof, talk about the importance of biking in their lives.
Norindr says that Wheel World is their most ambitious project, especially with the jump to 3D. Messen talks about hanging out and exploring, even without partaking in the challenges.
Players control Kat, who explores the world on her cycle and partakes in various races. You can go just about anywhere and customize the cycle in numerous ways.
Though your main goal is to “save” Wheel World by collecting all the Legendary parts, there are plenty of secrets to discover and characters to interact with.
