As you finally reach the end of Dawnshore area, as part of the quest, you'll finally confront the assassin who shot you with a poisoned arrow in Paradis.
There are a few dialogue directions you can take, but you'll ultimately be faced with the choice to forgive him and let him go, convince him to turn himself in, or fight him.
All three options provide distinct rewards and consequences in the coming journey through the Living Lands, and it's useful to know what's going to happen later down the road as a result of your decisions here.
The associated quest is part of the main journey in and once completed, you'll get the opportunity to face Ygwulf. While it might seem obvious that you should kill the assassin who tried to kill you, the situation isn't exactly cut and dry.
Ygwulf's motivations become clearer after some investigation, and in my experience, he didn't seem like such a bad guy in the end.
