Paramount Pictures has announced the Paramount+ release date for the upcoming streaming debut of its latest historical drama thriller about the hostage crisis at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, Germany.
This comes ahead of the upcoming 2025 Academy Awards, where the movie is currently nominated for Best Original Screenplay. “When we heard that we are nominated, we were overwhelmed with joy.
But I think we’re still waiting for that realizing moment because really, it’s not really realized by now,” writer Moritz Binder said in a previous interview with ComingSoon. “Because it’s something that is really hard to realize until I think you are standing there or sitting there.
And even then, I don’t know if I can realize it.” The film was directed Tim Fehlbaum from a screenplay he co-wrote with Alex David and Binder.
The cast includes John Magaro, Peter Sarsgaard, Ben Chaplin, Leonie Beneschv, Zinedine Soualem, Georgina Rich, Corey Johnson, Marcus Rutherford, Daniel Adeosun, Benjamin Walker, and Ferdinand Dörfler.
