Amid a torrent of rumours, Phil Spencer quotes, and Forza Horizon 5's PS5 announcement, another of Xbox's first-party games appears to be fated for a multi-platform release.
Microsoft is currently hiring for a position within its studio The Initiative, which is currently developing a brand new game in the Perfect Dark series.
Spotted by geronimo_73_, the job listing for Principal Graphics Engineer mentions multi-platform development more than once.
Under the heading Responsibilities, one of the points reads: «Optimize and ensure the scalability of the rendering features to support multiple platforms and quality settings.» Another point mentions meeting performance goals on the «target platforms», plural.
Finally, under Preferred Experience, Microsoft is looking for someone with experience of «multi-platform development». Perfect Dark was announced at The Game Awards in 2020, and development has apparently been less than smooth.
