’ latest event, The Spring Festival, will be starting soon, bringing a brand-new free skin for Star-Lord. If you’re wondering why the event called The Spring Festival is happening so early in the year, that’s because the event is meant to tie in with the Lunar New Year, which is also called Spring Festival in China.
Likely, wanted to avoid even more comparisons by calling it the Lunar New Year event the same way does. The Spring Festival will include a new limited-time mode — basically Lucio Ball, which pits teams of three against one another.
Star-Lord, Black Widow, and Iron Fist in are the only heroes available in the new mode and are also the ones getting new skins for the event.
While not all three are free, Star-Lord’s new lion-themed costume is. Star-Lord’s new skin has him sporting a lion-shaped mask and a flowing blonde mane to match.
He also has a fur-lined jacket and fluffy adornments for his guns. If you want this unique look, you need only participate in the Spring Festival Event and complete a series of challenges.
