Honkai: Star Rail Players May Get An Adorable New Pet Soon

A recent leak suggests that players may soon get a new pet in to accompany them on their journeys. Pets are a fairly recent addition to the turn-based RPG by HoYoverse; the first and only pet in the game, the Tuskpir, was granted to players as a reward for progress during the Luminary Wardance.

For reference, this was a limited-time event that occurred during the Version 2.5 update between September 2024 and October 2024, the same patch that introduced Moze, Lingsha, and Feixiao to .

Since then, no other pet has been made available, despite several accompanying creatures that are showcased throughout the story quests.

This includes creatures like Peppy and Diting, for example. Pets have no gameplay functionality other than the aesthetic value that they bring as companions to players’ active characters in the overworld.

Even so, pet systems are always welcome in all sorts of games. The Tuskpir pet in 2.5 was the first step toward deepening this mechanic, and it seems it will expand in an upcoming patch.
