Zoom adds video SDKs for developers to help them leverage the service for their apps

Zoom has announced the release of their new Video Software Development Kit (SDK) which will help developers to leverage Zoom's HD video, audio, and interactive features to build video-based applications and desktop experiences with native user interfaces.

Developers can now use the video SDK and build it into their products and applications to make the overall experience of their products better.

For example, as a developer working on a social media app, you can integrate Zoom's functionality into the app for the communication experience like on-the-go streaming or interactive chat. For gaming, developers can use Zoom's HD video and audio features and developers working on retail apps can use the chat features for better customer experience.

As Zoom explains, adding the video SDK to any app or platform will allow service providers and developers to build apps and integrations on top of Zoom's platform and bring video, voice, content sharing, chat etc to their applications.

Zoom's Developer Platform includes APIs (Application Programming Interfaces), SDKs, chatbots, webhooks and distribution for applications and integrations.

Zoom's latest release includes more detailed performance analytics that will give developers additional insights into the performance and usage of their applications on the Zoom App Marketplace. These include user and account level subscription counts, active user and active account metrics, API usage volumes, and more. Over the coming months, Zoom has said they will be releasing more updates to improve application and integration discoverability.
