The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask will be added to Switch Online’s Nintendo 64 library next week, Nintendo has announced.
The N64 classic will be added to the service on February 25, and will be available to Switch Online Expansion Pack subscribers.
Majora’s Mask will be the twelfth Nintendo 64 game available on Switch Online in the west, following on from Banjo Kazooie’s addition in January and Paper Mario in December 2021.
In the game, Link has three days to save the world before the moon comes crashing down, destroying the world of Termina and everyone inhabiting it.
To manage this, Link is able to rewind time, essentially allowing him to relive the same three days over and over again, allowing him to carry out more complex tasks.
Switch Online’s Expansion Pack tier launched in October and was met with frustration from some players due to emulation issues and a lack of features including button mapping.
However, an update to the service in January provided evidence that the company could be slowly improving its much-criticised N64 emulation.
Once Majora’s Mask is added, the full list of Nintendo 64 titles on Switch Online will be as follows:
Nintendo 64 games can only be access by players who subscribe to the Expansion Pack, an add-on for Nintendo Switch Online which adds Nintendo 64 and Mega Drive / Genesis games as well as a growing number of DLC that would otherwise be paid.
This includes the Happy Home Paradise expansion for Animal Crossing: New Horizons and the upcoming Booster Course Pass for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
