Ever since first seeing the light of day back in 2009, the world of Minecraft has changed quite dramatically, even if the core principles of the game have remained pretty much intact. In fact, it's been through so many iterations that it's impossible to play the game in its original form, and that's before mentioning fans coming along and tweaking the game with mods and custom texture packs. With that, someone has decided to add in some new seafaring creatures, including one that surprisingly is not in the game already.
As seen by PCGamesN, YouTuber SystemZee, whose real name is Austin, has managed to add sharks into Minecraft using a custom mob creator and the help of some friends. On top of this, they also created a new type of slime, which attacks from the bottom of the sea bed, and a surfer, which can drag players down into the watery depths. The shark is probably the one that is most interesting, largely because they don't attack immediately. The YouTuber has set it so that sharks will only become aggressive once the player is injured. In other words, they can smell blood.

As if that wasn't enough, in order to make the ocean even scarier, SystemZee also created what they call the Cyclone. While Minecraft has its Ender Dragon boss, The Cyclone is an Overworld, albeit underwater, antagonist that is not only creepy looking but can also summon a whirlpool to drag the player down to their death. The video ends with the YouTuber challenging their friends to a submarine race, using this false pretense to get them to actually take on this tentacled beast.
