It’s official! Xiaomi is all set to launch its flagship 12S series tomorrow on July 4 in China. This upcoming Xiaomi lineup consist of three flagship Android smartphones - the basic Xiaomi 12S, the upgraded Xiaomi 12S Pro and the most specs-loaded variant of the series, Xiaomi 12S Ultra. Ahead of the launch, Xiaomi itself has revealed a couple of key specs and features of the new Xiaomi 12S series. And rest of the details have been delivered by several leaks and tipsters. Before the launch of the Xiaomi 12S series, let’s have a quick look at the expected specifications, features and price, and everything else that we know so far.
The entry variant Xiaomi 12S is expected to feature a 6.28-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Several leaks tipped earier revealed that it will pack the new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset instead of Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. It will be powered by a 4500 mAh battery with 67W fast charging option, some reports suggested. For photography, it will feature a triple-camera setup on the back with a 50MP Sony IMX707 1/1.28-inch sensor coupled with a 13MP ultrawide camera and a 5MP tele-macro camera.
Xiaomi 12S Pro is confirmed to bring the Leica-tuned triple-cameras setup on the back with all the 50MP sensors. It will feature a 32MP selfie camera and be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. Well, there are rumours that Xiaomi may launch a variant of the 12S Pro with a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset too. This will be powered by a 4600 mAh battery with 120W fast charging support.
And the higher-end premium flagship of the series, the Xiaomi 12S Ultra will feature a quad-camera setup. It is confirmed that the Ultra version will get a 50MP Sony IMX989 1-inch main camera, while other sensors
