There are a handful of quests within Xenoblade Chronicles 3 in which players will have to make a decision. While some don't impact the outcome of the quest, others do. Depending on what players want out of their first playthrough, they'll want to listen carefully to what the NPCs around base camps will have to say to Noah and the others. There's usually a hint at the better option. Knowing what to do can save time on long sidequests such as the Tau-Tirkin Alliance Standard Quest.
Players will need to have made some progress in Xenoblade Chronicles 3's campaign before they can start the Tau-Tirkin Alliance. This is one quest in which players should pay attention to the dialogue. Keeping the alliance can be time-consuming, but it comes with its benefits. On the other hand, those that want to finish this Standard Quest as quickly as possible will only need to make sure they're at the right level.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Chain Attacks Guide
Players won't see the discussion for this quest until they've reached Chapter 4. They'll need to continue towards the High Maktha Wildwood until they're ambushed by Juniper and Colony Tau. This will start Juniper's Hero Quest: Natural Selection. Follow their footsteps to unlock Colony Tau, and assist Juniper with her troubles. Once the Flame Clock is destroyed, players will be welcomed in and out of Colony Tau. They'll also get the Stalker Class and the ability: Rope Sliding.
Like with previous Colonies, sidequests and discussions will start appearing around Colony Tau. Speak to an NPC named Rowland to unlock the «Food for Tau» topic, and discuss this at a Canteen or Camp. Speak to Rowland again to formally start the Tau-Tirkin Alliance Quest.
This will require farming a total of 200 supplies
