Xbox Game Pass has been releasing a steady stream of games on its service over the past week, with today (February 16) being no exception as Shadow Warrior 3 is being added to the platform. Despite originally being a 2022 release, Shadow Warrior 3's current-gen port has been released today, which does make this latest version of the game a day-one release for Xbox Game Pass.
The addition of Shadow Warrior 3 follows the release of a 10-hour trial for Wild Hearts on February 13 and the additions of Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord on February 14. Another notable addition to Xbox Game Pass was City Skylines Remastered on February 15, and Atomic Heart is still to come on February 21.

Shadow Warrior 3 is a first-person shooter that follows series protagonist Lo Wang as he continues to battle demons and other monstrosities to save humanity while cracking jokes and having fun. The specific version coming out on Xbox Game Pass is Shadow Warrior 3: Definitive Edition which offers improved performance on modern consoles and has new additions including Survival Mode and New Game Plus along with added difficulty options. For anyone who had been interested in playing the game but decided to hold off as well as fans who burned through the game's brief 5 to 8 hour campaign, this release seems to add a decent amount of content and replayability to what had been previously a fairly content bare game.
