After Microsoft inked a deal with EA to bring its EA Play library of games to Xbox Game Pass, many were anticipating a similar deal to be reached with Ubisoft. Despite rumors of Ubisoft Connect coming to Xbox Game Pass, nothing official to that effect has been announced at the time of this writing. But while Ubisoft Connect is not yet part of Xbox Game Pass, that hasn't stopped some major Ubisoft games from joining Microsoft's popular subscription service.
Earlier this year, Rainbow Six Extraction hit Xbox Game Pass as a day one release, which was significant as Extraction was one of the first major new game releases of 2022. Now it seems Ubisoft is planning to bring even more of its games to Xbox Game Pass in the relatively near future, with two titles in particular mentioned.
Xbox Game Pass is Losing 4 Games at the End of April
Microsoft has confirmed that within the next two months, Assassin's Creed Origins is coming to Xbox Game Pass, and it will be available across the cloud, console, and PC (the latter through the Ubisoft Connect app). Assassin's Creed Origins first released in 2017 and took the AC franchise in some bold new directions. Assassin's Creed Origins was the first game in the long-running series to fully embrace an action-RPG framework, which has since been used in Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
Meanwhile, Xbox Game Pass subscribers can also look forward to the addition of For Honor: Marching Fire Edition. The Standard Edition of For Honor is already available to Xbox Game Pass cloud and console players, but soon it will be upgraded to the Marching Fire Edition, which is also coming to PC Game Pass through Ubisoft Connect.
