Xbox Deal Lets Gamers Get 2 Classic FPS Games Incredibly Cheap
Xbox is currently offering two classic first-person shooter games for an incredibly low price in the form of TimeSplitters 2 and TimeSplitters: Future Perfect. The Xbox Store offers regular discounts on a wide variety of video games, and right now it's offering the Super Saver Sale that has major titles heavily discounted. There are many newer games available as part of the Super Saver Sale, but two original Xbox games are available at an especially low price.
For the next week, Xbox gamers can pick up TimeSplitters 2 and TimeSplitters: Future Perfect for a mere $2.49 each through the Xbox Store. And thanks to the Xbox backward compatibility program, both games can be played on modern Xbox consoles, including the Xbox Series X and S. Better yet, this deal doesn't even require an Xbox Live Gold subscription so all Xbox gamers can take advantage of the offer.

For those unfamiliar with the TimeSplitters series, they are first-person shooter games from Free Radical Design. When Free Radical first formed, it was made up of ex-Rare employees who worked on games like GoldenEye 007 and Perfect Dark, so the TimeSplitters games play as successors to those titles. They feature a nice variety of levels thanks to the time-traveling gimmick, not to mention split-screen co-op and local multiplayer options.
When TimeSplitters: Future Perfect first launched in 2005, it offered online multiplayer capabilities along with the LAN and split-screen options. Unfortunately, the original Xbox Live was shut down years ago, and so TimeSplitters: Future Perfect on Xbox no longer has online multiplayer features.
