If you ever wanted to completely crush vehicles between tweets, now you can! In a surprising announcement, a Wreckfest Mobile port is coming to satisfy our destructive needs.
Announced during a recent THQ Games Showcase, a full Wreckfest Mobile port is coming. While not many details were revealed, this port is likely based off the recent Nintendo Switch conversion.
In the announcement trailer, the game’s graphics are clearly paired back. While it looks favourable to the Nintendo Switch version, it’s a clear step down from the gorgeous PC and console ports.
However, what’s evident is that the most important part of the game is here: destruction! In the trailer, you can see cars smashing into tiny bits as well as environmental objects shattering. It’s very impressive for a mobile game!
If you’re a fan of the console version, you’ll be happy to know that this port has huge 24-car races. Even in the game’s most demanding tracks, two-dozen cars will be there for you to destroy. Of course, online multiplayer returns as well.
Unfortunately, THQ Nordic has not announced a concrete release date for Wreckfest Mobile. However, at least we have a timeframe to look out for unlike, say, Path of Exile mobile. Yes, we’re still waiting!
You’ll be about to destroy countless vehicles on the go come this Fall. What month exactly that is, we have no idea. We’re hoping October because car crashes are spooky!
As for Wreckfest Mobile controller support, that has been confirmed. While you can use touch controls to drive, you can also use an external controller for the game.
Wreckfest’s drift onto mobile comes alongside a number of other high-profile mobile ports. For a game as CPU-demanding as Wreckfest is, it’s a surprise to be sure.
