The official release date for World of Warcraft's Wrath of the Lich King Classic, a recreation of the popular 2008 expansion, has been confirmed by the developer. The originalWrath of the Lich King pitted players against Lich King Arthas Menethil, the iconic villain from Warcraft 3. WoW's first expansion, The Burning Crusade, was released on the Classic servers in 2021. Of course, the 2021 release of this expansion on the Classic servers was not an exact copy of the game it was based on. The recreation expanded on the original by making some gameplay adjustments, including harder raid bosses and faster leveling speeds.
