Josh Wardle created Wordle for his wife Palak Shah, who loves word games. The game was originally meant to be a fun play for the couple but it caught up with the world and went viral since October 2021.
Wordle revolves around guessing a five-letter word per day. Every player gets six attempts at guessing the five-letter word of the day on a tile arrangement. After every guess, the tiles change colours to hint about the word.
