If a box containing a letter turns green, that means the word is present in today’s Wordle answer and is being used in the right spot. However, if a box containing a letter turns yellow, that means the letter is being used in today’s answer but is not being used in the correct spot. If players don’t see a box changing colors to either green or yellow, that means the letter is not being used in today’s Wordle answer.

Once players are done attempting the puzzle, they can share the progress of today’s Wordle answer on social media. Players can click on the ‘Share’ button that results in the website copying a set of emojis and number of attempts to the clipboard. The copied text and emojis will contain color-coded boxes and the number of attempts that other players can understand without getting any spoilers.
