Batman was nowhere to be found at San Diego Comic-Con 2022's Warner Bros. Hall H panel, and there are several reasons for the character's absence. Bruce Wayne is set to appear in several upcoming DC projects. Interestingly, each will feature a different iteration of Batman if all confirmed announcements are indeed true. Aside from The Batman 2 and Batgirl, Batman will also appear in 2023's The Flash. However, none of these movies, nor Batman, had a presence at SDCC 2022.
The highly-anticipated Warner Bros. panel kicked off by highlighting the upcoming DCEU projects, including Shazam 2's first trailer. Dwayne «The Rock» Johnson followed that up with an in-costume appearance promoting Black Adam, the next DC title to hit theaters. Despite speculation that Henry Cavill would appear for a future Superman project, that didn't happen, much to the dismay of attendees and fans.

Warner Bros. seemingly didn't feel the need to give Batman an appearance in any form. Cavill's appearance would have been the big draw, but instead, Warner Bros. elected to focus on Black Adam andShazam 2–the next two live-action DC projects on their release calendar. As for The Batman 2, it makes sense why the studio didn't feel the need for announcements. Robert Pattinson's next Batman was confirmed during CinemaCon just a few months ago, in April 2022. Warner Bros. didn't necessarily need to provide any new details on the project. However, there was much speculation that The Flash and Batgirl would have new announcements following CinemaCon, but that wasn't the case.
