One of the most overpowered weapons in Elden Ring that Tarnished can easily acquire at the start of their journey is the Icerind Hatchet, a frost-coated blade that can inflict Frost on ground targets. However, the main appeal of the hatchet is its weapon skill, the Hoarfrost Stomp. Similar to the Glintstone Pebble, the Hoarfrost Stomp costs little FP yet can be spammed in quick succession in Elden Ringto deal devasting damage within a short period. Moreover, suppose the cone of ice hits the same target multiple times. In that case, the enemy will be smitten with Frostbite, a Status Effect that deals damage and lowers the target's damage absorption by 20% and stamina recovery for the duration.
The Icerind Hatchet is located within the sunken ruins of the Temple Quarter in Liurnia of the Lakes. Tarnished must travel north from Limgrave past the Stormveil Castle to get to this location. Accordingly, there are two ways to access Liurnia. Adventurers can brave the Stormveil Legacy Dungeon and defeat Godrick or take the secluded cliffside path north of Stormhill Shack.

Once travelers arrive in Liurnia, they can head northwest to a Sending Gate within the Laskyar Ruins. This Portal will teleport Elden Ring players to the South Raya Lucaria Gate. From here, head west to the Temple Quarter.
Starting from the bridge at the South Raya Lucaria Gate, Tarnished have two choices to reach the Temple Quarter. First, they can ride south through the town ruins while avoiding or fighting through enemies. Alternatively, they leap off the jump and double jump onto a tall rock nearby.
