Sony has opened the floodgates for us to play and stream PlayStation VR 2 and Horizon Call of the Mountain, so we’re going to do just that starting at 2PM UK time!
Alas the PS5 killed the broadcast when switching games. The Horizon COTM stream is archived below. We are now playing Gran Turismo 7 here:
And here is Horizon COTM:
We’ll be making a fresh start in Horizon Call of the Mountain for around 45-60 minutes, before jumping into a few other VR experiences after around an hour or so to give a sense of what PSVR 2 can do. Gran Turismo 7, Rez Effect, Kayak VR and maybe one or two others are on our list.
PlayStation VR 2 and a whole host of launch games are available from tomorrow, 22nd February 2023. The headset takes Sony’s version of VR right to the top of the tech specs chart, with a 4K resolution, inside-out tracking, and built-in eye tracking, but also feeds off their own innovation with a headset rumble and Sense VR controllers that include all the haptics and adaptive trigger tech from the DualSense controller.
Read our PSVR 2 review here for more on the headset and everything it can do.
As for Horizon Call of the Mountain? Well, it’s just a great first party launch game for PSVR 2, that really shows off the power of PlayStation 5 for pushing high-end virtual reality experiences, combining engaging climbing mechanics with a fresh twist on Horizon’s monster battles.
You can find our Horizon Call of the Mountain review here.
As for the rest? Well, we’ll see what we end up playing, won’t we?
