Dwayne Johnson officially releases his cameo as Black Adam in DC League of Super-Pets. Of the four DC films released or releasing in 2022, three of them are connected to Johnson. The Rock stars in both DC League of Super-Pets as the voice of Krypto the Super Dog and Black Adam as the title character. Johnson's production company, Seven Buck Productions, had a hand in those two films as well as Shazam! Fury of the Gods.
DC League of Super-Pets and Black Adam are linked in many ways due to Johnson's presence. DC League of Super-Pets moved to Black Adam'sJuly 29 release date after the latter was forced to move to October 2022 due to production needing more time to work on visual effects. For audiences who turned out for DC League of Super-Pets and stayed through the credits, they got to see both of Johnson's characters collide. The post-credits scene featured Black Adam swooping in alongside his dog Anubis to meet Superman and Krypto. Both Black Adam and his dog are voiced by Johnson, and the actor himself has praised the moment ever since Super-Pets debuted.
