WhatsApp is reportedly working on several new and interesting features to make it a more user friendly messaging platform. The Meta -owned instant messaging app is keen on introducing new features and the latest one on the list is the feature that allows WhatsApp group members to silently exit groups. Yes! The app is currently working on a new feature that will let users exit from an unwanted group secretly, without notifying others. The new development was reported by WABetaInfo. They have shared a screengrab of the same and wrote, “when you want to exit a WhatsApp group, other people won’t be notified in the chat. Only group admins will be able to see who exits the group, but others don’t.”
As of now, WhatsApp adds a system message in the group chat informing every participant that someone has exited the group. But now with this new feature rolling out, this notification will only be sent to group admins in the future. Currently this feature is under development for WhatsApp Desktop beta but is likely to be rolled out on WhatsApp beta for Android and iOS as well in the coming future. However the platform now intends to bring the same filters to regular non-business users as well. Also Read: After Instagram, WhatsApp to get emoji reactions in Status feature
