Redditor Battlefront_Captures has created an Unreal Engine 5 environment demo based off of The Last of Us. The twenty-second demo shows a long abandoned bedroom overgrown with foliage, with a guitar sitting in the background. «True Faith» by Lotte Kestner plays as we see the days pass by through the windows of the bedroom. The demo is one of many projects being released that are based off of the game, which include a live action fan film based off moments from The Last of Us.

The Unreal Engine 5 clip has garnered a lot of fans, with one stating that the short scene is «gorgeous.» One fan states that the demo reminds them of the title screen room from The Last of Us, which Battlefront_Captures says was the main inspiration. The clip does a very good job of capturing the feeling of the game's environment, as it is beautiful yet haunting.
