A new patent filing by Valve has surfaced which has left everyone wondering what it is exactly about.
Spotted by Nibel, the trademark is for something called Neon Prime, but that's all we know. The trademark application reads, “NEON PRIME™ trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of computer game software, electronic game software, video game software, computer game programs downloadable via the internet”. This doesn’t help us understand either considering we don’t know if it's a game, a service, some DLC, or something else entirely. Valve has mentioned that it has a lot of games in development, so this could be one of those.

Although, this patent is classified under various categories of machinery, one of which includes musical instruments and supplies. This would be slightly contradictory to the assumption of it being a video game. Elsewhere, Redditors are joking that this is some kind of CS:GO Operation. Some also jokingly said that this could be about CS:GO 2 or even the mythical Half-Life 3. However, since the filing itself is very vague, all we can do for now is speculate.
In other Valve news, the company has all but confirmed the existence of a new VR headset, codenamed “Deckard”. This was revealed thanks to a job posting on the company’s website that looked to hire individuals with experience in developing VR tech.
