10tons’ fantastic top-down battler Undead Horde is getting a sequel. Titled Undead Horde 2: Neceopolis, the Dysmantle developers are aiming to one-up themselves once again with this ambitious follow-up.
Originally released in 2019, it’s been three years since Undead Horde graced mobile gamers. Are you excited for this new instalment in the series?
Announced for mobile, PC and consoles, Undead Horde 2 aims to be a massive sequel to its predecessor. With bigger crowds, more enemies, more complex maps and more, this is a true sequel.
The big mechanic of Undead Horde is its revival mechanic. After you kill an enemy, you’ll be able to resurrect it to fight alongside you. In the sequel, you’ll be able to revive hundreds of corpses to join you in your quest.
One shot of the new game’s trailer shows a massive horde of followers travelling down an alleyway. It’s a truly impressive feat of AI crowds on mobile, maybe even rivalling TABS Mobile!
In the sequel, there’s a lot more strategy to the resurrection mechanic. You’ll now be able to use a new Raise Wheel to select which class of fallen foes you wish to revive. Maybe you’ll be able to get enough small mobs to overwhelm the enemy. On the other hand, a few strong allies could be just as effective.
