Trans Twitch streamer Keffals has said that London Police Services woke her up with "an assault rifle in my face" after being the victim of a transphobic swatting incident on August 5.
In a new video on her YouTube channel, Keffals describes her interrogation experience in London, Ontario after someone impersonating her sent an email to the police claiming that she'd murdered her mother and was planning a mass shooting. Keffals claims that she was booked under her deadname, referred to as her mother's son, and provides evidence in her video of the police regularly deadnaming her on property bags. This is despite her name being Clara Sorrenti and having not gone by her previous surname in over a decade.

Keffals also explains that despite finding no weapons and talking to her very much alive mother, she is "still a suspect" in the investigation. She also says that she is the victim of "unjust seizures" and that important devices that were seized during the raid would not be returned to her for potentially months, negatively impacting her and her partner's work.
Keffals also reveals that a similar incident took place last month. While visiting Toronto on July 31, Keffals explains that someone else impersonating her had threatened local politicians, but the email was correctly chalked up to a swatting attempt. To make matters worse, the streamer also claims to have told London Police Services that a swatting attempt could take place and asked to be put on a no-swatting list back in March, but says that police treated her and her family like they were "wearing tin foil hats."
