Tomb Raider Reloaded Launches Without Microtransactions And Ads On Netflix

Tomb Raider Reloaded has finally launched on Android, nearly three years after its original announcement. You can grab it right now on Google Play.

However, in perhaps more exciting news, the game has launched in two different versions. The original features ads and microtransactions to progress. So far, so free-to-play mobile game.

Then there’s the Netflix version, which rids the game entirely of these features and provides a truly premium version of the mobile game. That’s a first!

Tomb Raider Reloaded is the latest mobile game based on the beloved Tomb Raider series. It follows the iconic tomb raider Lara Croft on her jungle, tomb, and cave expeditions.

It draws inspiration from the original Tomb Raider series, rather than the latest trilogy. You play as Croft with her legendary dual pistols (alongside more weapons) while embarking on globetrotting adventures.

The gameplay seems to take heavy inspiration from the hugely successful Archero. Habby developed the influential RPG, and the game features stylised graphics and easy-to-handle combat.

This works really well for a Lara Croft game, as it tasks you with looting and upgrading, as well as combat and puzzle-solving. You work your way through a campaign, fighting bosses and upgrading your gear along the way.

It might be strange and confusing that two versions of Tomb Raider Reloaded launched at the same time on Android.

The only difference that we’ve found between the two versions is that the Netflix version doesn’t include microtransactions or ads, so it’s a completely free-to-play experience aside from the cost of the subscription itself.
