After yesterday's answer I've got repeating letters on my mind, and I haven't decided yet if they're twice the fun or double the trouble. Get an EE, OO, or LL in the right place and you're just about halfway there, but the sting of a precious box wasted always hurts.
Today's word is most commonly used to describe a wide open mouth. It doesn't matter if that's a human mouth open in shock, or a lion's opened far enough to see its back teeth—so long as there's an open mouth, this is the word to go for. Three of today's five letters are vowels, and one of them is used twice.
