Tiny Tina's Wonderlands has been out for less than a month now, and it's already getting its first out of four total DLCs from the Season Pass next week, adding more variety to the endgame experience. There is a commonly shared sentiment about Tiny Tina's Wonderlands being the best Borderlands game ever made by Gearbox, which could be due to all the fantastic references and Easter eggs or the fact that the gameplay loop is more fun and polished. The addition of spells over grenades further explores the fantasy-setting potential for Borderlands games, and it makes for one of the most compelling systems currently available.
Without Vault Hunters, Tiny Tina's Wonderlands focuses on character creation and customization a lot more than past games, and it does so by allowing players to choose a starting class out of six available, with the seventh coming at a later date. Furthermore, players can also spec into the skill tree of another class out of the remaining five, creating unique combinations and interesting interactions. Of course, not all classes are equally powerful, but things are constantly changing.
Borderlands Should Take a Page From Tiny Tina's Wonderlands and Remove PVP
With the most recent patch, Gearbox nerfed Tiny Tina's Wonderlands' least powerful class: the Clawbringer. While the Clawbringer is not necessarily a bad pick either as a main class or a secondary one, it does lack chemistry between its skills and abilities, which is instead commonly found in all remaining classes. The change with yesterday's patch was aimed at bringing Awe more in line with other skills in the game, but the result is that the Clawbringer lost its only really powerful asset without getting anything in return.
