It is September 8, which is Disney Plus Day, and that means Thor: Love and Thunder is out now on the streaming service. Another new addition to the catalog for September 8 is the new Pinocchio movie starring Tom Hanks as Geppetto.
Love and Thunder is the latest entry in the Thor series that was originally released in theaters in July. The sequel to Thor: Ragnarok made more than $755 million worldwide at the box office during its run. It brought back stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor and writer-director Taika Waititi. Natalie Portman returned to the Thor franchise as Mighty Thor.
Today also marks the Disney Plus release of Assembled: The Making of Thor: Love and Thunder, as well as Obi-Wan Kenobi: A Jedi's Return. This mini-feature digs into Ewan McGregor's path toward returning to play Obi-Wan in the limited series.
Additionally, the Cars TV show, Cars on the Road, premieres today, as does BTS: Permission to Dance on Stage — LA. Other new additions for September 8 include Dancing with the Stars: The Pros' Most Memorable Dances, Tierra Incognita, sing-a-longs for Forzen and Frozen 2, and a new short from The Simpsons called «Welcome to the Club.»
The Disney original short film Remembering starring Brie Larson is also out today on Disney Plus, as is the new Pinocchio movie starring Tom Hanks.
