To celebrate Disney Plus Day, Disney not only added a lot of new content to the service--including Thor: Love and Thunder--but the company is also kicking off a pretty solid deal for new or lapsed users.
Now through September 19, Disney is offering a one-month subscription to Disney Plus for only $2 USD. After the free month ends, members will be charged the normal $8 per month. However, starting in December, Disney is raising the price of a basic membership to $11/month, though an ad-based tier will also debut then for $8/month.
The $2 offer is good for new Disney Plus subscribers as well as those who let their account lapse. Existing members cannot use the deal to extend their membership, however.
Disney Plus is the home of all things Disney, including 30+ seasons of The Simpsons, MCU movies, and Disney's animated classics like The Little Mermaid and The Lion King, among others. Disney Plus is also the home of Taylor Swift documentary Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions.
Today also saw the release of the new Pinocchio movie starring Tom Hanks, among other films and TV series. For more, check out GameSpot's breakdown of everything new on Disney Plus in September, including the next Star Wars TV series, Andor.
