South Park The Streaming Wars Part 2 still depicts Cartman with a pair of enormous false breasts, but the feature-length special does a surprisingly good job dropping a lazy, transphobic joke in the process. The South Park: The Streaming Wars Part 2’s ending has Cartman losing his short-lived breast implants as part of a complicated scheme to power Randy Marsh’s desalination plant. The goofy gag was an appropriately silly conclusion to the special’s most absurd subplot. However, The Streaming Wars Part 2’s deft handling of this joke comes as something of a surprise.
South Park: The Streaming Wars Part 1 featured a transphobic joke within an unfortunate subplot involving Cartman getting breast augmentation because, as the character informed his mother, “It’s 2022, they do this to kids now.” Fortunately, this gag wasn’t brought back for the conclusion of South Park’s two-part special.

The otherwise strong Streaming Wars Part 1 made smart points about water scarcity, big business controlling public amenities, and the state of the entertainment industry, which only made its transphobic joke a disappointing inclusion. So, it was a relief that South Park The Streaming Wars Part 2 managed to avoid the problem.
