Supermassive loves giving players choices. Some are small, like whether to respond to a friend's joke with sarcasm or sincerity. Others are large, like where to hide when being pursued by a monster. No matter how small or large the decision, all of them shape the player's game in The Quarry.
The Quarry asks players to guide the decisions of the nine camp counselors at Hackett's Quarry, and in the roughly 10 hours it takes to tell the game's story, it's more than possible that most or even all the counselors will die. It's easy to make small mistakes and get one's favorite character killed off. Here's everything the player has to know to save Laura.
The Quarry: How Long To Beat & How Many Chapters
After her sedation and abduction by the sheriff during the Prologue, Laura wakes up in a prison cell alongside Max. The player soon gets an opportunity to speak with Travis, receiving a slew of dialog options. Throughout them, Laura must pretend to be nice to Travis. Being compliant, not lashing out, and otherwise playing along with Travis's questions are key.
The Quarry — How To Save Nick
When Laura has the opportunity to walk around the cell, the player can interact with the bed in the left corner, finding a spoon there. After another conversation with Travis, Laura will be able to explore the police station. Upstairs, amongst Travis's belongings, the player will find a syringe. Heading back down to the cell, Laura can use the spoon to remove a loose brick on the window and make a hiding spot for the syringe.
Go back to sleep. Pretend to be sick, succeed on the Quick-Time Events, and inject Travis with the syringe.
