Amazon Studios head Jennifer Salke has revealed that there will be a The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel season 5, but it will be the show's last. Created by Amy Sherman Palladino and executive produced, directed and written alongside her husband, Daniel Palladino, the show follows housewife-turned comedian Miriam Maisel as she navigates the business of her newfound passion. Starring Rachel Brosnahan in the titular role, and Alex Borstein as her manager Susie, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel has received plenty of praise from audiences and critics alike since its release.
It didn’t take long for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel to take off. The pilot, which aired on Amazon video in 2017, was one of the most successful in the history of the streamer, acquiring an average viewer rating of 4.9 out of 5. This was accompanied by rave reviews in publications, with many critics highlighting Mrs. Maisel's charming dialogue and hilariously neurotic characters. Viewership for the show reached a peak in season 3, with an average of 3.2 million people tuning in during its first seven days, a 60% jump from season 2. In fact, 2.1 million tuning in to watch The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel season 3 premiere in the first 24 hours alone. Accompanying the massive audience are a bucket load of awards, as the first three seasons have taken home 20 Emmys from a total 54 nominations.

Now, a day before the premiere of the long-awaited Marvelous Mrs. Maisel season 4, Salke has announced in a press release (via EW) that the show will return for its final outing in season 5.
