EA Sports' split from FIFA left players with many questions about the last FIFA title, FIFA 23. Fortunately, key details aboutFIFA 23 surfaced online as Microsoft Store lists the new game prematurely.
Rumors circulated about a split between EA Sports and FIFA as early as March 2022. EA Sports would confirm the end of the FIFA partnership this past May as the company rebranded the premier series of soccer titles to EA Sports FC. However, a final FIFA title would be developed by EA Sports for 2022, FIFA 23. In 2023, EA Sports FC will release with a variety of modes from the FIFA series such as VOLTA, Career Mode, and the widely-successful Ultimate Team mode. Cam Weber, Executive Vice President at EA Sports, said the new title would mark a «new era» for the global soccer games next year.

The Microsoft Store listedFIFA 23 with a release date set for September 30, 2022, according to prominent leaker Aggiornamenti Lumia. A closed beta will be held for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S ahead of launch. Additionally, the game's box art features PSG's Kylian Mbappe front and center, just like FIFA 22. The leaker's pictures of FIFA 23's box art and store listings were subsequently taken down by copyright claims. Fortunately, an in-game screenshot of Manchester City featuring the newly-signed Erling Haaland remains available.
Many new details about FIFA 23 will be revealed in the coming months. Previously, EA claimed the last FIFA title would be its «best ever» with more features, game modes, World Cup content, and much more.
