Sonic fans looking forward to Sonic Prime on Netflix will be able to see the first episode early via Roblox.
The free-to-play game platform is home to Sonic Speed Simulator, where players can explore Sonic environments in the Roblox game engine.
According to an announcement by Neflix’s official Netflix Geeked Twitter account, the first 40-minute episode of Sonic Prime will be airing on Sonic Speed Simulator every 45 minutes for a week.
This means fans will get to watch the first part of the series a number of days before it arrives on Netflix.
The entire first season of Sonic Prime will arrive on Netflix on December 15, but the ‘virtual world premiere’ of the first episode will kick off on Sonic Speed Simulator in Roblox on Saturday December 10 at 7am PT / 10am ET / 3pm GMT.
The 40-minute episode will then continue to stream every 45 minutes until 5pm on Friday December 16, by which point all the other episodes will be on Netflix.
