This week’s free Epic Games Store title is Borderlands 3.
Titles included in the store’s regular free games promotion are usually revealed a week before they’re made available, but last week Epic kept the identity of the latest one secret.
Borderlands 3 replaces Prey, Jotun: Valhalla Edition and Redout: Enhanced Edition, which were free to download from June 12-19.
The Epic Games Store gave away 89 free titles last year (down from 103 in 2020), with a combined worth of $2,120.
According to Epic, users claimed over 765 million free games in 2021.
Epic announced on Monday that Fall Guys will be going free-to-play on June 21.
On the same date, the game will be released for Nintendo Switch and Xbox consoles and be made available via the Epic Games Store.
The news was leaked via an in-game video in Fortnite shortly before its official announcement during a live stream on Monday.
In an update on another of the publisher’s upcoming products last week, developer Remedy confirmed that Alan Wake 2 won’t be shown this summer, although it is still on track to be released in 2023.
It also revealed that Alan Wake Remastered will be released for Nintendo Switch this autumn.
