Disney+’s The Book of Boba Fett looks set to be another exciting, character-driven Star Wars story bolstered by its promising cast. Although very little information about the spin-off to The Mandalorian was revealed ahead of release, a few members of the cast were known before the Disney+ series introduced a host of new characters alongside returning stars Temuera Morrison and Ming-Na Wen. With Disney’s Star Wars series all building toward some climactic crossover event, Boba Fett’s story has never been more exciting.
The Book of Boba Fett takes place after the second season of The Mandalorian and alongside the events of Star Wars' upcoming Ahsoka show, which will follow the titular former Jedi. According to the showrunners, Book of Boba Fett is considered The Mandalorian season 2.5, as it will build up to the events of The Mandalorian season 3. In the series, bounty hunters Boba Fett and Fennec Shand attempt to secure their control over the desert planet Tatooine, joining forces with fellow crime leaders and taking on the treacherous bosses in the area who threaten their reign. With the former criminal leader Jabba the Hutt dead, Fett and Shand are able to usurp the sitting steward of the underworld, as seen in the last episode of The Mandalorian. How the two mercenaries fare as the heads of an enormous, otherworldly crime syndicate will be determined throughout Boba Fett.
