Town Slimes are pets in Terraria that were added to the game with the release of its 1.4.4 update, and there are eight of them in total. While it not particularly difficult to convince the majority of these Town Slimes to take up residence, some players may be unclear about what requirements must be fulfilled. This guide is here to shine some light on this matter and help fans secure all eight Town Slimes in Terraria.
To note, the sources for the Clumsy Slime, Elder Slime, and Mystic Slime that are referenced in the table that is below can all be detected with the Lifeform Analyzer. This accessory is purchased from Terraria's Traveling Merchant, and while it is certainly possible to earn these Town Slimes without using it, the Lifeform Analyzer can be quite helpful.
Terraria 1.4.4: How to Find Aether Biome
Players should now have a solid understanding of how to procure all eight Town Slimes. However, these are even more pets to find in the Labor of Love update, and two of them will be of particular interest to fans of the popular life-sim game Stardew Valley. Specifically, it is now possible to get a Blue Chicken and Junimo pet in Terraria, both of which will be happy to follow their summoner.
Pets are not the only pieces of content that were added by the 1.4.4 update, though, as it also introduced a new boss. That boss is Terraria's Mechdusa, and it is spawned by combining the Mechanical Skull, the Mechanical Worm, and the Mechanical Eye in order to create Ocram's Razor and then using that item in a special seed. Notably, Mechdusa will always drop the Waffle's Iron, a weapon that was also introduced by the Labor of Love update.
Terraria is available for Mobile, Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
