Farrah Abraham is defending herself from her critics after the Teen Mom star revealed she allowed her 13-year-old daughter to get a septum piercing. Fans first met Farrah on MTV's 16 & Pregnant, where cameras followed her during the last months of her pregnancy and her first days of motherhood. She was on the show for seven seasons but was let go from her contract for refusing to end her adult film career. Her last scene on the show showcased an argument she had with an executive producer for showing up to her house to film when she was busy with other projects. At the time of her departure, none of the other moms on the show were friendly with her, with some even refusing to film if she returned.
Since leaving the show, Farrah has not taken herself out of the spotlight and continues to comment on the lives of her former co-stars. In January 2022, Farrah was filmed getting detained by law enforcement after she got into an altercation with a security guard outside Grandmaster Records. She claimed this experience was so traumatic that it caused her to move out of California. Aside from the mental health problems it caused, she claimed to also have been injured in the altercation. This is the second time Farrah has had an issue with a security guard, having received a two-year probation sentence in 2018 for hitting a security guard in The Beverly Hills Hotel.
