Today was developer Techland’s final episode of Dying 2 Know, a video series all about showing off the impressive-looking Dying Light 2 Stay Human. The first episode landed in May last year. Since then, Techland has been peeling back the layers, introducing fans to the game’s story, world, and much more. This final episode, however, is special, as it finally lifted the veil on the mode that has many excited. Dying Light 2 includes a four-player co-op mode, and the final episode today has shown off some footage.
The voice of Aiden Caldwell, Jonah Scott, is joined by streamer and host, Leah Alexandra. Together, they introduce the co-op mode of Dying Light 2, while offering some sweet details in the process. As mentioned by Alexandra, the co-op mode, which can host four people, doesn’t benefit the host alone. Your co-op partners can “keep their items and their player progression.” On the topic of choices and consequences in the narrative, other players will be able to vote on what path to take. However, “the host gets the final say in where you end up,” which sounds like you can consider the votes, but you’re not bound to them.
Finally, we get to the co-op action. It starts with four survivors looking down onto the infested city from on top of a building. They leap off, hero-style of course, and the video switches to gameplay. The action looks pretty intense, with four players parkouring and taking on swarms of Infected. It also seems like you can play to a certain role. While a few players were using melee weapons, there was one who acted as the team’s Hawkeye, offering support with a bow.
