Thirty years after Superman #75, Clark Kent's brother, Superboy, is finally getting revenge for Superman's iconic death at the hands of Doomsday. In cover art by Mario «Fox» Foccillo and Prasad Rao just released for Dark Crisis: War Zone #1, Conner Kent—alongside Superman's son, Jon Kent—is depicted facing off with Doomsday. This battle is a long time coming, and it proves the deep connection between Conner's Superboy and Superman himself.
Superboy, in fact, debuted in the wake of Superman's first death in the 1990s as one of the major player in «Reign of the Supermen.» Conner Kent was later revealed to be a clone of Clark Kent and his arch-nemesis Lex Luthor. Despite this dark familial connection, Superman came to see Superboy as part of his family, especially once Ma and Pa Kent took Conner into their home. Now Superman and Superboy think of each other as brothers, and Conner is joining Clark's son Jon in mourning the original Superman after the death of the Justice League during the Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths event.
