Perry White, Superman’s boss, steps into the spotlight this summer in a special one-shot reprinting some of his greatest stories. Perry is an important character in the Superman mythos but has never been the subject of his own special—until now. Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen’s Boss Perry White, on sale in print and digital this June, will not only showcase some of White’s best stories, but also feature a new, seven-page story from Matt Fraction and Steve Leiber, the masterminds behind the award-winning Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen.
As the editor-in-chief of The Daily Planet, Perry has helped nurture the journalistic careers of Lois Lane, Clark Kent, Jimmy Olsen, Steve Lombard and others. Often depicted as cranky, but fair, Perry has become an integral part of the Superman Family. Various members of Superman’s supporting cast, including Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen, have starred in their own specials and series, but Perry has never had his own, despite his important place in the Superman titles. All of that changes this June.
