The Trials of the Dragon King expansion for Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin will add the Summoner job to the game, giving Jack the power to summon Bahamut on the battlefield. Bahamut is an important character from FF1, but he wasn't part of the story of Stranger of Paradise, thanks to its story going in a different direction from that of FF1.
The ability to summon monsters using magic is an iconic part of the Final Fantasy series, with FF7's cinematic summon sequences helping to show off the visual prowess of the PS1's hardware. Over time, fans grew weary of long summon cut scenes, so they have become summonable allies that fight alongside the party. The concept of summoning monsters debuted in FF3, where Bahamut was the original ultimate summon, so long as the party could defeat him first, and earn the right to call on him in battle.

Stranger of Paradise has a Season Pass that will be releasing content in three waves, with the first wave being Trials of the Dragon King. A new trailer for the Trials of the Dragon King DLC on the Final Fantasy YouTube channel has revealed that it's adding the Summoner job to Stranger of Paradise. The Summoner has the ability to call on Bahamut and use his powers to decimate foes, but summoning him drains Jack's Max MP. Bahamut can also deal a ton of damage through casting Megaflare. It's unclear whether the Summoner job in Stranger of Paradise is unlocked from the start, can be accessed during the original story mode, or can only be unlocked in post-game content.
