Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin features the Monk job, which mixes fast-paced combat skills with healing abilities. One of the best aspects of the Monk (and similar hand-to-hand combat classes) is that they feel like they're using Tifa's moveset from FF7 Remake, which is satisfying for those who enjoyed using her in combat.
The Monk job originated in the original FF1, where it was known as the Black Belt. The Monk didn't need to use weapons in combat, as they fought with their fists. This was useful in the early hours of the game, as the player didn't need to spend lots of cash buying weapons or spells for them. If the player found the secret Rat's Tail item and completed Bahamut's trial, then the Monk would be upgraded to the Master, which was one of the strongest physical attackers in the game.

The Monk is an expert user of the claws, especially during the early segments of the game, as they are a fast weapon, making it easy to pull off a string of attacks and quickly evade a counter. In order to use the Monk, the player will need to spend some time with the basic jobs.
In order to unlock the Monk job in Stranger of Paradise, the player needs to master the right-hand path of the Pugilist job and the right-hand path of the Lancer job. Both of these are unlocked at an early point in the game, so it shouldn't take too long for the player to have access to the Monk. The Monk job is necessary for unlocking Stranger of Paradise's unique Tyrant job, as well as the Assassin job.
