The patch also included several bug fixes, enhanced some weapon skills, and nerfed some strategies by reducing the Blood Loss buildup from Swarm of Flies. However, it appears that one popular Elden Ring tactic got unintentionally nerfed.

FromSoftware posted a new Tweet mentioning that the duration of the Cerulean Hidden Tear’s effect was reduced in Patch 1.04. The developer confirmed that this was an unintentional nerf that will get reversed in a minor Elden Ring update in the near future. FromSoftware apologized for any inconvenience caused, but did not share any specific timeline on when fans can expect this update.
The Cerulean Hidden Tear is a valuable item for magic builds, and players can use it by mixing it in the Flask of Wondrous Physick in Elden Ring. It completely ignores FP consumption for magic attacks and allows players to spam their most powerful spells. It’s an essential item for the Comet Azur build, as players can hold the beam for as long as the effect of the Cerulean Hidden Tear remains active. This effect lasted 15 seconds before Patch 1.04 but was reportedly reduced to just seven seconds afterwards.
Magic users are probably glad to hear that this nerf was unintentional, and FromSoftware will hopefully release the update in the coming days. This is not the first time the game
