Elden Ring bosses are hard. They're so hard that the first proper one is designed to beat you up so badly that you skulk off and discover more of the game. But, that doesn't stop some players from beating them using absolutely absurd means. Reddit user Jim0917 has beaten Morgott at Rune level one using nothing but the starting club.
The video is a thing of beauty. Jim confidently swaggers into the arena and charges the Omen King in naught but his skivvies. He deftly dances and dodges around him, knowing exactly when to roll and when to go in for a charged two-handed attack. He's clearly mastered Morgott's moveset.

Each attack Jim commits to looks like it could be his last, but he knows the fight so well that he never gets greedy. He gets Morgott down to his second phase quickly enough, and then the fun begins. He whittles the Omen down gradually from there, before delivering the final blow. A satisfying critical hit to the gut.
Jim doesn't post these videos just to gloat. He uses them as educational tools to teach other players how to get better at the boss fights.
"That's what I want to show to people who think ER bosses are unfair," he writes. "They have openings, not just a lot of them, but usually long enough. The problem people have is that these openings depend a lot more on your side, rather than the bosses side. Basically, the bosses will react with certain moves depending on how you move around them. Once you figure this out, you know what to look for and beat their ass."
Jim also acknowledges this kind of fight is absurd and there's no reason for anyone to play like this, he just does so to prove it's possible and find all the attack counters.
