After catching up on Stranger Thingsseason 4, writer Stephen King has an idea for a spinoff series following Yuri Ismaylov. Stranger Things has always been set up to have a 4/5 season run but with its incredible popularity, there are many who aren’t ready to let it go as the end fast approaches. Fortunately for those fans, the writers reportedly have several Stranger Things spin-offs in the works, although very little information is currently available, making any plot line and medium a real possibility.
In the meantime, the latest season has received much adoration from audiences, including from King who has been singing Stranger Things' praises for years. After setting such a high standard with its previous season, the Stranger Things cast and crew has yet to disappoint. Stranger Things fans broke Netflix viewership records last week with the premiere of season 4 part 1. Previously this record was held by Bridgerton season 2 with an impressive 193 million hours viewed, but Stranger Things season 4 soon shot past this with a staggering 287 million viewing hours in its opening weekend.

Stranger Things season 4 part 1 introduced several new characters, and it appears that King has found himself attached to one of them. Yuri Ismaylov (Nikola Đjuričko) is the opportunistic pilot that Enzo, unfortunately, trusts to help Hopper escape the Russian prison. After seeing Đjuričko’s performance, King compares the character to the likes of Bill Hader’s Barry Berkman (Barry) and says he would like to see more of Yuri’s eccentric and skeevy nature, perhaps in a spin-off series.
