Stardew Valley is host to a ton of villagers, most of whom the player is able to befriend and many of whom are romanceable. There are a lot of different reasons why befriending and even romancing these characters can be a good option – they’ll send players gifts when their friendship points are high enough, including some recipes that can only be acquired through friendship, and they have special heart events that can only be accessed after a certain amount of friendship points.
One of these romanceable villagers is Shane, considered by many to be a definite Stardew Valley fan favorite. Shane has an interesting and emotional backstory, but his cool demeanor and his love of chickens are a draw for many players. Each villager in Stardew Valley has a set schedule depending on the day, the season, and the weather that they’ll adhere to. These schedules are relatively easy to follow once they’re memorized, which makes gifting and speaking to them far easier for players. Shane is no different.
Just as each villager has a set schedule, they each have little oddities that players should also remember. With Shane, on rainy Saturdays and Sundays when the Community Centre hasn’t been completed, he’ll go work at JojaMart on the far right of the town. He can also be found in the Stardrop Saloon almost every evening, regardless of weather or season.
